Holiday season often proves volatile for brand name retailers and consumer cyclical stocks as foot traffic doesn't measure up to expectations. As usual the cyclical nature of some of these stocks has them revealing low valuations this time of year. We recently featured Kohl's Stores as it hit low valuation levels Kohl's Looks Good to Buy for the Holidays. This week, Family Dollar (FDO) is on the watch list as it is very close to the low valuation level. While not yet ready to pull the trigger, with its superior earnings profile and dividends we look forward to the possibility of issuing an Action Alert in the near future as was outlined in our first weekend update of 2013.
